Our client is a building services and facilities management company who are looking to recruit an ambitious and forward thinking individual to join their team as M&E Head of Projects. You will be effectively oversee the delivery of the company’s client projects. This will include project delivery, planning, project resourcing and financial accountability across London and the South of England, you will also be responsible for managing four project managers and building intercompany relationships. Reporting to the Commercial and London Business Manager.

Works would include lighting upgrades, moves and changes, boiler improvements, chiller alterations, office refurbishment, civil works.

Main Duties

  • To ensure that projects and minor works are both operationally and financially running to budget and best value is always achieved.
  • Deriving solutions for effective energy, environment and carbon management.
  • To undertake tender exercises and evaluate subsequent outputs.
  • Continuous monitoring of project’s overall compliance within the business case.
  • Ensuring compliance with the project’s health and safety strategy, together with all mandatory and client requirements. To include: review, where necessary, site safety, CDM, method statements, risk assessments and site inspections.
  • Ensuring the best practice is always used

Essential

  • Industry recognised project management qualification (eg: CIOB) or equivalent experience in delivering M/E projects in a diverse built environments
  • Industry recognised qualification in electrical or mechanical skill discipline.
  • Knowledge of energy savings
  • Knowledge of Civil Engineering
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification
  • Substantial experience in a similar role
  • Experience in relation to contract management and delivery of M/E projects.
  • High level of technical knowledge in relation to building services and HVAC
  • Good IT skills
