Their award winning Transport & Development Consultancy Division is one of the leading civil engineering consultancies delivering high quality support to the public sector, banks, property, private equity and blue chip clients. Our multi-national clients have a diverse range of operations throughout the world, which require coordinated support at a local level.
They are currently looking for a high calibre Civil / Structural Design Engineer to join their highly regarded civil structures (Bridges) division. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide variety of high profile projects.
Based at their Surrey office the successful Structural Engineer will ideally be able to demonstrate qualification and experience in a number of the following areas;
Educated to degree level or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering.
5 years or more post graduate experience and working towards Chartership with ICE or IStructE.
Experience in the inspection and assessment of highway structures and bridges.
Experience in the design of highway structures and bridges.
Experience in the use of structural analysis and design software.
Experience in the design and analysis of foundations / piling.
Working knowledge of Eurocodes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to generate and technically review reports.
Experience of client liaison (e.g meetings, presentations) and key account management/ relationship development.
Ability to work to deadlines, within budget and to programme, to control costs and to effectively manage resources and change control.
Knowledge of the Highways Agency, LUL and Network Rail approvals procedures would be an advantage.
